At Saftware, we’re all about personal expression, so wear whatever feels right for you. And by the way… our Saftware jackets are famous for being super comfy. Just a little insider tip! :)
If you don’t find a fitting position among our current openings, we encourage you to reach out to our Head of HR, who will be more than happy to explore potential opportunities for you.
Our team is spread across Europe, but we’re all about flexibility too. Half of us prefer working remotely, and that’s just fine by us.
Our team is consisted of four teams: engineering, testing, project management, and back office.
Certainly! You’ll have direct contact with the client throughout the projects. In our collaborations we prioritize frequent communication and updates to ensure our clients are always well-informed about the progress of their projects.
Rest assured, when your current project comes to an end, we seamlessly transition you to another one to keep your momentum going. Our commitment lies in fostering long-term relationships, ensuring continuous opportunities for you to contribute your talents and grow within our team.
Our onboarding process comprises three key steps. Firstly, you’ll meet with the HR Manager to finalize agreements and gain access to our applications. Next, you’ll have a meeting with either the CEO or CTO to delve deeper into our company’s culture and vision. Lastly, you’ll meet your new team, officially becoming a Saftwarer.
We work on real problems for clients ranging from funded startups to established enterprises. You will collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers in small, cross-functional teams. Each project brings new technical challenges, so you never stop learning. We value autonomy and trust you to manage your own time and tasks. The atmosphere is supportive, and we celebrate wins together.
Our team is distributed across several time zones, but we stay connected through daily standups and async updates. We believe in transparency, so everyone has access to company goals and project roadmaps. Regular virtual coffee chats and in-person meetups help build genuine relationships. We also host monthly show‑and‑tell sessions where you can share your side projects or new skills. All of this makes Saftware a place where you can do your best work while feeling truly part of a community.
It starts with a screening call, usually 30 minutes, where we get to know your background and what you are looking for. We talk about your experience with specific technologies and the types of projects you enjoy. This is also your chance to ask us about Saftware’s culture, clients, and expectations. The call is informal, and no preparation is needed beyond having a genuine conversation. If there is mutual interest, we move to the next step.
The technical conversation is a live, collaborative session focused on real-world problem solving. We might ask you to work through a small system design or review some code together. There are no trick questions or brain teasers—we want to see how you think, communicate, and handle ambiguity. You will meet a senior developer who will also share how we approach similar challenges at Saftware. The goal is to understand whether we would enjoy working together, not to judge you on a single answer. We always leave time for your questions at the end.
The final step is a team‑fit discussion with a few future teammates. You will hear about ongoing projects, team rituals, and how decisions are made. We ask about your preferred working style, feedback preferences, and how you handle tight deadlines. Likewise, you can ask the team anything about daily life at Saftware. Everyone involved shares their impressions, and we make a decision quickly—usually within a few days.
From day one, you are paired with a mentor who helps you ramp up on our codebase, tools, and processes. Weekly one‑on‑ones focus on your career goals, not just project status. Code reviews are a cornerstone of our practice—every pull request gets thoughtful feedback that teaches you new patterns and catches issues early. We encourage everyone to review code across teams, so you gain exposure to different parts of the stack. This culture of sharing lifts the whole team and accelerates your growth.
We allocate a generous annual conference budget for each developer, which you can use for tickets, travel, and accommodation. You are free to choose events that align with your interests, whether it is a niche front-end conference or a general software architecture summit. After attending, we ask you to share key takeaways with the team during a lunch‑and‑learn session. We also maintain a subscriptions budget for online courses and books, so you can learn at your own pace. Continuous learning is baked into how we work, not an afterthought.
Our remote and hybrid setup is designed to be flexible while keeping the team cohesive. You can work from home, a co-working space, or from our office if you are near one of our hubs. Core hours overlap for about four hours each day to allow real-time collaboration; the rest of your schedule is up to you. We use a mix of synchronous standups and asynchronous updates via Slack and Notion to stay aligned. Team members in similar time zones often meet in person for sprints or social events, and the company covers travel for those who want to attend an all‑hands gathering twice a year.
